I received a combined B.A. degree in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Oregon, in 1996, Summa Cum Laude with Honors in Psychology. In 1998, I received my Juris Doctor. I have been practicing Family Law for over eighteen years, and have an extensive background litigating a wide range domestic relations matters, including divorce, annulment, child custody and visitation, property valuation and distribution, debt division, alimony, domestic violence proceedings, termination of parental rights, annulments, name changes, legal separations, and appellate work. I recently co-authored a book on Narcissism, and have first-hand knowledge in dealing with Narcissistic tactics in the legal arena.
I have continued my academic pursuits with post graduate studies in Marriage and Family Therapy. My earlier background experiences involve thousands of hours of work in crisis advocacy for victims of domestic violence.
In my spare time, I participate in foot races, and am currently working toward another half marathon (sometimes an uphill battle). I also love roses, and I am growing over 12 different varieties.
Born in Michoacán, Mexico, I migrated to the United States when I was 7 days old. I have lived in Las Vegas since then. I attended and graduated with honors from Durango High School. I am an alumni of the College of Southern Nevada (CSN) currently attending the University of Las Vegas, Nevada (UNLV) seeking my juris doctorate. I am married and have 3 beautiful children.
